Designed and made by Navajo award-winning artist, Erick Begay, these earrings are handmade out of sterling silver and No. 8 Spider turquoise. Sterling silver rope and dot appliqué set the off the bezeled pieces of turquoise. The No. 8 turquoise mine was in operation in Carlin, Nevada from 1929-1961. It produced some of the biggest nuggets of turquoise found. The turquoise is known for a powder blue color with a brownish to black spider webbed matrix.|
